Thesis Title: Surveillance System Evaluation and Optimisation for Emergency Plant Pests

Current Thesis Abstract: The research topic aims to develop analytical techniques to better manage eradication programs, mitigate the risks associated with moving plant material and detect emergency plant pests early. Analysis techniques based on epidemiological risk will be developed by proposing incursion models based upon expectations of spread through a host landscape. Bayesian techniques will be used to update the models based upon pest surveillance data.
