ISR strategically links to a range of major initiates in relation to sustainable resources. These include:
QUT's Centre for Subtropical Design draws expertise from a wide range of professions including: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, Surveying, Construction Management, Humanities and Environmental Management, to carry out various research activities and to communicate research outcomes to professional bodies, industry and the community through forums, workshops and seminars. The Centre's core purpose is to demonstrate and promote subtropical design in our local communities. Social researchers, previously part of QUT's former Centre for Social Change Research, but now integrated into the Faculty of Built Environment's School of Design, have been a prominant part of ISR's sustainable research and growth.
