On Tuesday the 16th of December 2008, the QUT Creative Industries, sponsored by ACID and QUT iCi Urban Informatics, will host a seminar on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Environmental Sustainability, featuring Paul Dourish from the University of California, Irvine. Many HCI researchers have recently begun to examine the opportunities to use ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) to promote environmental sustainability and ecological consciousness on the part of technology users. These efforts exploit recent explorations of the use of computers as persuasive technologies in domains such as health and fitness.

This seminar is FREE and open to the public. However RSVP is essential to Rosie Hill or 07 3337 7830 for catering purposes.
