Profile

Michelle Gane is the Institute Project Manager and has a strong private industry background with almost 10 years experience in strategic natural resource management. She previously has worked for Australian Environment International, Environmental Protection Agency and AgForce. Michelle has been involved in a wide range of national and international projects within the sustainable development, natural resources and strategic environment issues. Some of her projects include Strategic natural resource management plans for Stanbroke Pastoral Company, environmental friendly sugar products for Machida Shuzo (Japan), training supervisor for l’’Ecole Polytechnic students (France) and a sustainable development strategy for Gold Coast Airport. Michelle is currently working with Burnett Mary Regional Group to develop an Environmental offset tool, investigating the issues of Carbon trading with rural Queensland and developing a sustainable development strategy with Meridien marinas.
